Campaign Story

My name is Tonya, I’m 32 years old and I have five beautiful children. That’s right there’s five of them, I know I know, just hear me out! I met their dad when I was 16, I got pregnant a month later. He wasn’t the nicest to me but I stayed for my son. I got pregnant with my daughter 4 months after he was born. The relationship didn’t get any better but I stayed for the kids. By that time I thought that’s just how life was, maybe he’d grow up and change. I ended up pregnant two more times, both boys. By that time the relationship got very abusive, and I decided to tie my tubes. I could not have anymore babies with that man, but was very stuck. I had no car, no job, no where to go, I was very reliant on him. I had my tubal when I had my last baby. He was a year old when I finally had the resources to leave. He stopped all contact with the children when I left him. It wasn’t long after that I met the best person I’ve ever met in my life, my husband Cody. He immediately took on the responsibility and the love and commitment of dad to all five of my children. He’s just a wonderful human. He works so hard to make sure that the kids and I have everything we need. We would like to complete our family by having just one more baby, but can’t seem to save enough to get the tubal reversal. I would really love to have a baby that’s wanted by both parents, to see a baby be loved by it’s dad, to plan for a baby! To just do it right ?
